it appears your flimsy hammer is just not doing the damage you'd like it to. Instead of spending hours on that silly little giclops, why not speak with that consort over there? they appear to be selling something you will find very useful.

Fraymotifs are a fancy name for special attacks and abilities, all musically based, that can be purchased from consorts on a player's personal planet. They're typically purchased through boondollars, but will be purchased using grist raked in through posting. Fraymotifs are incredibly powerful, albiet optional, and are highly suggested for powerful bosses such as the denizen, should you chose to battle it, and the Black King and Queen at the end of the game. They can also defeat powerful underlings with ease, so if your character is, say, ambushed during a mod thread, even the weakest Fraymotif may allow them to get out of the sticky situation quickly and earn them heaps of grist at the same time.
Each player has three fraymotifs, as well as a combo with each other player in their respective session.
The weakest personal fraymotif costs 500 grist to buy. The second weakest costs 1000 grist. The strongest costs 2000. Combos are more powerful and cost 3000 grist, but the cost is split between the two players who will be able to use the combo attack, leaving the total at 1500 for both.
