the frog could have been incorrectly bred, or killed accidentally, and that would lead to the end of life as we know it?

Well, if we're talking about incorrectly breeding the frog/killing it accidentally, that would just make it impossible to enter the new universe and repopulate the human race, yada yada. Skaia would be destroyed in the reckoning, but player planets would all still be in tact. This means that everyone would have to die by other means regardless: one player going crazy and stabbing them all to death Mar-mar's up for that, hungry consorts eating the player alive or something in need of food, Prospitians turning on Derse dreamers and vice versa in assassination attempts, or, probably the worst, everyone just... dying of hunger, thirst, or /age/.
Accidentally killing the frog sounds mega cool and I'd love for that to be part of the plot, but that would only really be the catalyst for their ultimate demise.
If I'm using the word catalyst right.
Am I using the word catalyst right?
Also, Clio Marvel, you could always make the Celestial Brush from Okami. |D Cool reality-bending powers and all. |

I actually had to run to dictionary.com to see if you used 'catalyst' right. Yeah, I think it's right. Maybe. I guess? Anyways, I would love to see someone go insane and kill everyone, but I'm fine with anything else. Prospitians vs. Dersites (is that the word?) sounds cool too.
Celestial Brush from Okami... ermahgerd. IF ONLY. >.< I don't really think there's a way to alchemize that, though? Maybe in a mod thread later on Clio could somehow get it from her denizen or something, because it definitely looks like a legendary weapon to me.

A catalyst is something that allows for something else to happen, but is typically not consumed in the process. Since you cannot consume the death of a frog, you are using "catalyst" correctly.
Anyway, so, the frog is incorrectly bred and dies of a birth defect, and we're all just sitting there like "well... balls." Sound like a good starter?
