HEY, BROTHER | DO YOU STILL BELIEVE IN ONE ANOTHER |
The feel of sun on your neck, grass on your knees, and spider legs on your knuckles. Faith experienced all of these at least once a day, and she truly loved every single one. They were all associated with her gardening, so they all found a nice warm place in her heart. Especially the spiders. Faith smiled down at the furry arachnid that crawled over her hand. One of her several tarantulas, if she recalled correctly -- and she always did -- this one was named Mary. She'd lost her leg in a tussle with a larger mouse that had found its way among her posies. Poor girl. But it made her easy to recognize. She gave the spider a kind stroke across its head before returning to her work. At least she would have if a sound hadn't brought her head up to face the mailbox.
Todd, the mailman, smiled pleasantly at her upon noticing her curious stare. Cheery as usual, he flashed a pair of square packages her way before putting them in the mailbox. Faith's face lit up like a christmas tree upon seeing the logos on them. Azazel's game! He'd been waiting for them! Sure that he'd be happy if she brought them upstairs to him she hopped off her knees, making sure she didn't harm Mary at all in the process, before making a somewhat needlessly long path to the mailbox. Even if speed was the goal here Faith needed to be sure she didn't crumple any flowers or crush any of her beloved pets. Once there she pulled them out, lifting them to her face just to be sure she was right.
"No doubt about it!" She cheered with a smile. Large green letters covered both discs, the only thing larger than them being the logos underneath. SBURB. She'd seen them at least a hundred times on Azazel's screen, although she hadn't seen much of them on tv or in advertisements. Not that any of that mattered, they were here now and she'd identified them, so as much as she hated to cut her gardening short she quickly went back into the house, shutting the door firmly upon re-entering.
As she made her way across the main room to the stairs she pulled out her phone, going to pesterchum and hooking her bluetooth on her ear. She needed to make sure Azazel was okay with her just coming in. After all, she did change her schedule.
FD: Hello sibling of mine! I'm currently on my way to the stairs and am planning on making a stop by our room. I've got some wonderful packages I think you'll be excited to see! LIKE REALLY EXCITED! But I need to know if it's okay for me to just walk in.
Using voice recognition for pesterchum was probably one of the greatest ideas she'd ever come up with. Even if she did have to talk kind of loud and really slow to make sure it all came out okay.
