That's what you keep telling yourself, always hoping that mom's next boyfriend will be a good influence and not die from old age, like rich old geezers are prone to do, so that she does not have to return to a seedy lifestyle. Eventually a time comes when you just stop caring, and focus on the sweet loot you get as gifts. What your mother does with her life is really of no concern to you, especially considering how well taken care of you are. Hobbies like gaming, music and pillow cuddling distracted Zelamir from his home life when he wasn't busy with school. Video games took some precedence, as they were a form of escape.
