[ C000 ] Entering the Medium
=============================================================================================================================================================

As was briefly mentioned in the last section of this walkthrough, the last important step in getting your character situated for proper At the Price of Oblivion roleplaying is starting what we call an entry thread. You should have a basic idea of what that is – in case you missed it, the simplest description is that your character and their server player connect via their copies of the game and begin the process of removing you from Earth and putting you into the Medium – but that doesn't exactly explain how you are supposed to go about doing this. Does your server player pick you up with their mouse and toss you into space, crossing their fingers and hoping you land where you need to go? Of course not, silly! Server players can't interact with their client players directly, duh. If you want to know the real process, as well as what all of these silly names like the “cruxtruder” and “alchemiter” mean, refer to the sections below. Make sure to read them carefully!

=============================================================================================================================================================
[ C100 ] Disc Installation & Connecting
=============================================================================================================================================================

Daisy chain this sucker. One character installs the client disc (this character will have their environment manipulated), another installs the server disc (this character will do the manipulating). Connect by inputting IP addresses (for the sake of RP explanation). Loading screen will look like this. From there, server player will be able to see the SBURB menu as well as the entirety of the client player's home - save for any rooms or places the client player has not seen. In this sense, the server player can only "see" as far as the client player has "seen". The server player can then move/remove anything that is not touching the client player; can add floors, walls, stairs, and ladders assuming there is enough grist to pay for it; and can manipulate the alchemiter.

[ C200 ] Crucial Entry Items
=============================================================================================================================================================

Cruxtruder (cruxite dowels), Totem Lathe, Alchemiter, Pre-Punched Card. Maybe talk about the Punch Designix a little bit, too? Even though it's not. Vital to entry. >u>'

=============================================================================================================================================================
[ C300 ] The Kernelsprite
=============================================================================================================================================================

Prototype that suckah.

=============================================================================================================================================================
[ C400 ] Entry Items
=============================================================================================================================================================

THEY'RE VERY SYMBOLIC AND THEY ALL GET RUINED, OKAY.
